Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager – Marketing Systems Innovation is to manage the transformation of our marketing organization by providing business-level expertise on the operation, configuration, and general health of our marketing applications and systems.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of casino marketing technology including vendor-supplied technology and home-grown systems.
  • Configure and execute virtual sweepstakes drawings
  • IView / WCM platform technology configuration & operation including code management, database updates, and testing.
  • Loyalty website administration activities including content and feature testing.
  • Conduct business configurations of point buckets & loyalty rules engines.
  • Administration & tune-ups of event management software.
  • Promote innovation agenda throughout the organization, including presentations, participation in cross-functional teams, and other ad-hoc communications.
  • Work across organization to collect, analyze, and synthesize system requirements and constraints, and provide concise documentation.
  • Develop user stories & backlog items of features and functions desired.
  • Partner with IT to create appropriate documentation and procedures for the operation and maintenance of core marketing systems.
  • Ad-hoc and formal training presentations, including new user orientation and onboarding, skills tune-ups, and new feature roll-out. 

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate technology, vendors, service providers, and new opportunities for innovation.
  • Organize and manage small projects.
  • Primary change agent for marketing systems during key changes including loyalty program mechanics, reward & incentives systems, and other marketing tools.
  • Support the go-live delivery of systems including cross-system testing, data validation, user acceptance testing, and produce user documentation and production launch validation.
  • Document operational processes and standards.
  • Ensure upgrades and changes are configured to support business processes.
  • Assess and synthesize key data & indicators.
  • Provide input into strategic plans that assist in achieving company financial objectives.
  • Work in a highly matrixed environment and ensures collaboration on all projects.
  • Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the company using available resources (staff and budgetary).
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.

  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or substantial relevant work experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 

  • 5+ years of overall managerial experience required. 

  • 2-4 years of systems application administration experience (hospitality applications preferred, but CRM, ERP, CMP, DMP, or similar application is acceptable)

  • 2 years of Hospitality or Casino industry back-office experience (marketing administration, sales, system administration) or 4 years of front-line Hospitality or Casino experience.

  • Familiarity (either through work or academic) with core casino & resort systems including casino management systems (Scientific Games ACSC ideal), and property management systems (Agilysys LMS ideal) including operating concepts such as ratings, loyalty points, promotional linking, reservations, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience and familiarity (either through work or academic) with some or all the following: Website administration including user experience (UX) principles, content authoring (Adobe AEM ideal), and general site analytics (Google Analytics ideal); Front-end website development with HTML, CSS, Javascript, SVG; Server-side development with PHP / ASP.NET, MySQL / MSSQL, API’s; Database fundamentals with MSSQL queries, including database design principles; Data analysis & visualization leveraging business intelligence (MS Power BI ideal); CRM, Campaign Management, customer data best-practices, privacy-by-design, zero-trust architecture
  • Knowledge of database design, integration technologies & methodologies (REST, SOAP) is preferred.
  • Prior casino experience and luxury marketing experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with casino industry technology & regulatory environment.
  • Strong math skills especially statistics as they relate to sales & marketing KPI’s and casino benchmarks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
