The primary responsibility of the Vice President - Engineering & Asset Management is to lead the organization to select the right building technologies, ensure that sustainable building standards are met, evaluate and implement emerging building technologies, drive preventive maintenance and energy reduction projects, coordinate global communication with the property Facilities teams, and communicate effectively to property and corporate leadership.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.
- Lead the Engineering & Asset Management organization
- Work with Development to ensure building systems designs (mechanical, electrical, plumping) are efficient and appropriate
- Ensure that Las Vegas Sands’ Sustainable Development Standards are implemented throughout the design and construction phases
- Evaluate emerging building technologies and determine business cases including funding requirements and return on investments
- Oversee pilots to evaluate emerging building and MEP technologies
- Understand lessons learned from current facilities operations and ensure they are addressed in new builds and renovations
- Work with property Facilities to ensure building assets have comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime
- If aging infrastructures require building asset upgrades, ensure the right systems are selected and projects are implement on time and within budgets
- Assist properties to implement tested systems with firm timelines and within approved budgets
- Evaluate property energy efficiency roadmaps and help drive on-time and on-budget implementations
- Coordinate and communicate with associated properties and business units to ensure alignment
- Establish a repository of engineering & asset management knowledge and lessons learned
- Manage senior executive communication (e.g. regular reports)
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelors’ Degree required ideally in engineering.
- MBA or Master’s degree in engineering preferred
- Minimum of 10 engineering or facilities leadership experience required
- Expertise to operate in a global organization with operations in numerous countries with varying cultures
- Ability to travel internationally
- Strong project management and organizational excellence skills
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
