Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Analyst – Global Risk Management is to provide tactical and strategic analytical support to the Risk Management and Claims team within Global Risk Management Department.  The scope includes supporting the annual property, casualty, and management liability insurance renewals, department accounting and vendor management. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides tactical and strategic analytical support to develop and implement global property and casualty insurance processes
  • Helps define and execute the global risk financing strategy through technical analysis, process improvements and recommendations 
  • Communicates global risk financing processes and maintains relationships with corporate and property contacts
  • Provides day-to-day analysis necessary for structuring, placing, negotiating, binding, renewing, monitoring and measuring the global property and casualty insurance programs 
  • Implements at an operational level standardized processes for collecting, analyzing, and reporting renewal exposures, values and other necessary information 
  • Processes data necessary for aggregating, budgeting, and allocating insurance and claims costs 
  • Prepares standard reports and metrics for preparing actuarial studies; monitoring, evaluating, benchmarking and reporting on the company's property and casualty insurance programs 
  • Designs, updates, and distributes risk information
  • Manages the accounting activity of risk management
  • Monitors policy limit erosion for all programs by year 
  • Prepares year-end reconciliation report between budget and actual premium charged to properties and communicates to property management and reasoning of any necessary adjustments  
  • Supports the vendor purchase order and invoice process
  • Prepares annual risk finance allocation and budget workbook(s)
  • Supports the design and implementation of global standards for reporting and benchmarking property casualty insurance and claims management programs
  • Provides and analyzes data necessary to provide consistent, accurate and timely total cost of risk information and scorecards to the properties and senior management
  • Builds strong partnerships with the property and organize benchmarking data and information
  • Supports the day-to-day evolution of the RMIS system
  • Supports in overseeing the RMIS vendor performance
  • Builds standardized and customized reports for stakeholders
  • Provides tactical and analytical support for the reporting, management and resolution of the company's global property and casualty claim processes
  • Communicates claims management processes to properties and contacts
  • Utilizes and improves efficient and effective processes for identifying, reporting, monitoring, and resolving claims
  • Provides standard reports to stakeholders and evolves reports based on stakeholder feedback
  • Monitors losses and analyzes claim trends
  • Interfaces and collaborates with third party claim administrators 
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States
  • BBA degree in preferably risk management or business finance/mathematics
  • CPCU or ARM designation or work towards completion of same is preferred
  • 2-3 years’ experience in either an insurance brokerage, insurance company, accounting firm, or risk management department role
  • Prior experience with a Risk Management Information System (RMIS) is preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.

  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
