Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Sr Project Manager – IT is to ensure the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and management of business support activities.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support IT strategies and programs for the overall objectives of the organization.
  • Develop project plans for medium and large sized projects based upon defined high level priorities and business requirements.
  • Manage the project budget, scope, and schedule.
  • Identify and document any changes made to original project scope and communicate with stakeholders
  • Validate project deliverables against scope and quality expectations and participate in project stage-gates (including project post-mortems or wrap-ups), identifying opportunities for execution and process improvement
  • Identify and manage project issues and risks throughout the life of the project, developing action and contingency plans as appropriate
  • Make recommendations regarding policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Assist in the creation of IT standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Create and maintain process flow diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with business standards and procedures by analyzing and measuring against current processes.
  • Assist in closing out audit items and continuous monitoring of risk assessment plans.
  • Effectively communicate and organize the change management process.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 8 years of IT industry experience or equivalent technical experience (e.g., engineering, construction, etc.)
  • 5 to 8 years of project management experience
  • Ability to effectively manage/execute multiple projects concurrently
  • Familiar with ITIL processes, policies and procedures
  • Advanced user in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, ITIL) beneficial
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
