Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Product Manager is to build products and develop new ideas based on industry experience, best practices and new learnings gained through contact with customers, prospects and internal users. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Understands key business drivers and applies the knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products and services.
  • Ensure that the right product is developed to meet or exceed company's quality standard and is delivered at the right time.
  • Lead a cross-functional team - managing internal and external partners to identify and define technology needs based on product and marketing business requirements.
  • Bring new products to consumers in an engaging, functional way, while opening up fresh distribution channels and collaborating with other departments.
  • Drive development and optimization of the brand booking engine, websites, mobile application and other projects aimed at achieving business objectives and enhancing our digital guest experience.
  • Focus primarily on managing and developing enhancements for The Venetian and The Palazzo websites and online booking experience as well as working with the Director of Product to enhance other digital products.
  • Work with internal information technology resources and external partners to develop technology roadmaps and release processes and schedules.
  • Assist in the development and deliver against the product roadmap as defined by the Digital Marketing and eCommerce leadership teams.
  • Interpret overall marketing and ecommerce vision to create and implement the strategy and manage execution.
  • Oversee product life cycle from strategic planning, execution, deployment and analysis.
  • Work closely with Digital Marketing, IT and internal business units to capture business requirements and use cases to turn them into products that can be measured and optimized on a continual basis.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products through market research, session data and competitive analysis supported by on-going testing and optimization programs.
  • Act as the Project Manager for all changes and enhancements to ensure that stakeholders are kept up to date on deliverables and timelines.
  • Provide professional guidance and leadership to project teams to realize the strategic business vision and desired results.
  • Deliver wireframes and product recommendations to development teams aimed at driving world class enhancements.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage product roadmaps associated with owned product areas and other assigned projects.
  • Interface with vendors and internal company resources to communicate business product needs and priorities from a property perspective.
  • Manage booking engine content, merchandising and related operations.
  • Communicates with all areas of the company, working with internal and external partners to identify and define technology needs based on product and marketing business requirements.
  • Be responsible for the customer experience of the organization/property.
  • Find opportunities for innovation on behalf of our customers; design and implement new products and features related to these opportunities.
  • Measure and analyze all aspects of the business.
  • Identify and drive operational improvements and cost reductions.
  • Familiarize yourself with the products components and its potential impact on the market as a whole.
  • Practice discretion when discussing the production roll-out and maintain confidentiality.
  • Evaluate market competition and position the product so that it appeals to consumers.
  • Prepare launch events to coincide with consumers’ buying patterns.
  • Write a go-to-market summary and introduce it to the rest of the department.
  • Identify and approach potential distributors.       
  • Create mission statement for product launch and forecast performance in individual channels.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is essential.
  • 3 to 5 years product management experience required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in online business/eCommerce environment.
  • Minimum of 3+ years analytics experience in online business/eCommerce environment.
  • Experience with development and maintenance of content management systems.
  • Experience with web analytics and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with modern web development.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required licenses, such as a valid Nevada Driver's License, Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card, Gaming Control Card, etc. and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy if needed.
  • Working experience in Python, R, SQL, SAS, Visual Basic.
  • Experience in data reporting and visualization tools (Klipfolio, Tableau or Spotfire, etc.).
  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 10 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
