Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Sr Manager – HR Operations is to oversee and manage on-going practices of key initiatives and departmental goals and to create & distribute requested progress reports on a timely basis.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver strategic reports to department operators to increase efficiency and allow for more oversight at department level.
- Partner with leadership to create simple effective processes for HR transactions to streamline the team member operating experience.
- Define and implement potential projects considering financial benefit and process/business impact. Translate business objectives into projects with clear deliverables and measures of success.
- Drive innovation in the HR field, challenge conventions, and in some cases reinvent how work is done.
- Lead large and small-scale cross-functional HR project teams with focus on continuous improvement methodology. Influence and lead teams through difficult and complex efforts. Monitor internal HR systems.
- Track HR team goals and objectives.
- Monitor and maintain HR departmental budget.
- Develop and implement company policies.
- Develop and implement improvement plans to all departmental processes.
- Provide continuous improvement training to end users (team members, leaders, stakeholders).
- Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of related work experience.
- 3-5 years preferred in an HR management position
- An ability to manage the success of metrics defined by the project and the organization.
- An ability to define, implement and maintain project process guidance (e.g. project plan and subordinate plans), tailoring organizational processes as needed.
- An ability to identify, clarify and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed.
- An ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality and compliance with established project standards.
- An ability to review ongoing and proposed projects to identify opportunities for reuse and process improvement.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other software programs, such as Word or their equivalents.
- Knowledge of Human Resource principles and practices, including the Wage and Hour Laws and Regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple work assignments while functioning effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail.
- Extensive analytical skills.
- Knowledge of common HRIS systems including SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
