Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Specialist - Social Media Brand Channel is to support the social media team through social listening, content moderation and outbound social responses to deliver exceptional customer care and maintain a strong social media presence for The Venetian Resort (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, listen and respond to user (guest) interactions through social channels and work with Guest Services to determine outcome play an integral role in sustaining day-to-day operations including: helping develop original content, and suggesting creative ideas to achieve social media strategic goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with a variety of departments across the organization, as well as diligent tracking and follow-up.
  • Review tracking and reporting as well as content creation.
  • Write posts and develop content calendars for approval using brand asset library.
  • Review inbound partner or internal team member requests and provides recommendations based on social media best practices for consideration of placement on The Venetian social media channels
  • Provide feedback and optimizations to ongoing content calendar planning
  • Develop social media marketing plans for key campaigns and events.
  • Assist with reporting and tracking related to social media posts.
  • Create photos/video content during work and after-hours events
  • Partner with internal Team Members and agency counterparts on the following content production needs, for example, but not limited to: logistics with film crews, PR, Security, and other department stakeholders for social media content requirements
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or related field preferred.
  • 1 year of experience working in social media in the travel or hospitality industry, preferred.
  • Experience assisting on large-scale social media campaigns.
  • Strong account management and organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor while being able to add a strong POV on social media strategy, social tactics with a strong desire to continue learning and adapting to social industry best practices.
  • Experience working with online analytical tools such as Spredfast, Google Analytics, Sprinklr, etc.
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written format.
  • Copywriting ability or experience is preferred.
  • Photoshop/InDesign/video editing skills preferred.
  • Possess creative flair, versatility, and a strong visual sense.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
