Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Specialist - Relationship Marketing is to support the Premium Marketing team in executing special events, promotions, and telemarketing programs on behalf of the Venetian and the Palazzo.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the event and promotion calendar on a rolling 12-month basis by working with the Relationship Marketing team.
  • Create offer matrices and support the planning and budgeting process for events, promotions, and telemarketing programs.
  • Effectively identify the difference between play and credit line when sending invites and ensure that top customers are identified and appropriate offers are made.
  • Assist in the development and strategy of all Slot and Table Games events and promotions to ensure that all events are profitable. 
  • Organize and report on information regarding events and promotions for competitor properties.
  • Support the proofing and offer auditing process for email and direct mail campaigns.
  • Support the drop-in approval process for events and promotions when necessary.
  • Communicate event and promotional offerings to Casino Marketing team to ensure they have the tools necessary to drive visitation from players
  • Assist management in the development of strategic plans, budgets, forecasts, ad hoc analysis, and the building of financial models as needed. 
  • Ad hoc projects as necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between Financial Planning, Brand Marketing, other Relationship Marketing teams and Special Events Operations team to ensure consistency, full disclosure of information, cross-over events participation, and direction.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project development with Casino Marketing, Special Events, Legal, and Brand Marketing to ensure timelines for invitations and collateral are met.
  • During qualifying periods, ensure that data is run and reviewed prior to delivery to Special Events.
  • Monitor and respond to guest inquiries sent to the department in a timely manner.
  • Assist in proofing direct mail and email campaigns when necessary to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Relationship Marketing the tracking of Direct Mail costs, email deployments, gifts, and event expenses through pro forma and post analysis process.
  • Utilize post-event data and other analysis provided by Finance or Casino Analytics and identify trends, opportunities, and challenges for future planning.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • 1 - 3 years related experience in a casino setting.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and MS Office products.
  • Experience with casino/hotel systems preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 10 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
