Position Overview:

  • Positively and enthusiastically promote the team, the organization, and all its initiatives.
  • Track all responsible expenses and address and mitigate potential financial risk.
    • Materials, labor, food and beverage, equipment, etc.
  • Partner with team to ensure assigned budget line items are followed and provide P&L reconciliation with comments/justifications for assigned events.
  • Interact with TMs and Leaders of all levels for various initiatives.
    • Recognition, Team Member events, promotional, management meetings, team volunteerism, training, and other assigned initiatives.
  • Constantly brainstorm, look, observe and share innovative, energetic and fun ideas to upgrade or create communication/engagement initiatives that align with the strategies and goals of the organization.
  • Backup to Engagement Specialist and Communications Specialist when on flex or out of the office (tasks, projects, initiatives, etc.).
  • Assist the completion of all Heart of House/internal initiatives and projects for both The Venetian and The Palazzo.
  • Aid in the preparation of presentations, speeches, collateral, etc. geared toward team members and management.
  • Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure The Venetian and The Palazzo’s competitive position and in anticipation of the changing needs of our organization and industry.
  • Exercise discretion and judgment based on available information related to projects assigned.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Two years of experience working in Human Resources event planning and execution.  
  • Two years working in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Copywriting and editing experience preferred.
  • Computer – Intermediate skills and experience with MS Outlook, WORD, Excel and PowerPoint; Stratton Warren, EV5.
  • Highly organized with strong administrative skills.
  • Ability to make clear, well-thought, decisive, and quick decisions under time limits.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
