Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Specialist - Corporate Human Resources is to coordinate the administration of HR processes, supporting generalist, recruiting, learning & development, benefits, and compensation teams in day-to-day operations, as well as special projects.  This is a junior level position with high visibility to senior level executives within Las Vegas Sands Corp. The right person is smart, quickly and accurately carries out procedure, is able to anticipate and troubleshoot problems, has a high emotional intelligence, and possesses a discernible sense professionalism and discretion.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics including: scheduling meetings and travel for Sr. HR Executives, updating timelines, communicating deliverables, distributing materials, etc.
  • Provide functional support to HR leaders in the performance of their duties.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves, compensation etc. and resolve issues and problems
  • Maintain employee records in various HR systems
  • Document and maintain notes, review and draft reports and summaries of Team Relations issues
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of responses to external parties including timelines and confidential investigative files
  • Support executive recruiting efforts through sourcing candidates, administering new hire processing and requisition documentation and Team Member onboarding
  • Verify and Reference Checking as needed
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics
  • Participate in researching best practices and extracting applicable improvements.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Two (2) years’ experience working in a Human Resources specialist role preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of Employee Relations and related regulations and laws
  • Must be able to maintain the utmost confidentiality and discretion in dealing with highly sensitive information
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
