Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Slot Technician 3 is to perform floor repairs on all Gaming devices, GCA’s, as well as all other associated equipment on the slot casino floor. Ensure all slots machines are in proper working order to minimize downtime and maximize gaming revenue. Team Members in the Slot Technician 3 role just rely on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform floor repairs on all Gaming devices, NRT’s and associated equipment.  
  • Repair and rebuild all mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies on Gaming devices, NRT’s, Bill Validator, printers, etc.
  • Responsible for solving issues through technical problem solving and trouble shooting.
  • Perform conversions of machine models and denominations.
  • Assist slot personnel with machines when needed.
  • Program/troubleshoot progressive units.
  • Circulate on the casino floor to fix any problems that occur with slot machines.
  • Maintain machines to ensure cleanliness and in proper working order.
  • Troubleshoot and replay player tracking system.
  • Effectively operate Kobetron for verifying E-proms.
  • Complete (MEAL) Machine Entry Action Log on all machines.
  • Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non- hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 5 years of Slot Technical experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of electronics and electronic equipment associated with Gaming devices and related Slot Systems.
  • Ability to learn new slot technology through media and training programs as well as keeping abreast of the latest vendor technology.
  • Read and comprehend parts manual and possess knowledge of electronic test equipment and hand tools.
  • Must comply with all policies, procedures, and gaming regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Slot conversions, updates and modifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
