Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Manager – eCommerce Technology is to plan, direct and coordinate activities in the constantly evolving digital ecosystem.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations, as he manages a team of developers, architects, and engineers.
  • Responsible for driving maximum flexibility and speed to market in the digital ecosystem.
  • Build and own a technology roadmap that responds to current business demands while predicting future needs.
  • Design and deliver sophisticated, industry leading products and feature that perform at a high level, are secure, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Partner with department leadership to support the development of eCommerce technology strategy/roadmap and manage execution across internal and external teams.
  • Communicate with all areas of the company, working with internal and external partners to identify and define technology needs based on product and marketing business requirements and roadmap.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all technology aspects of our environment including UI design, Server Deployment, Data Pipeline Implementation, and Technology Enablement.
  • Design and build an API based web services platform from the ground up supporting a marketing platform necessary to continue our rapid growth.
  • Drive improvements to back and front-end infrastructure.
  • Implement data pipeline to process complex and multidimensional data.
  • Manage the execution and implementation of technology-based activities based on approved capital and operational budgets.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

Company Standards of Conduct

All The Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Technology or Engineering with a Focus in Computer Science.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration Board certification and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • Must also have six years of experience with (1) hands-on engineering of consumer web apps and services; (2) development in both Java and .NET platforms; (3) development/maintenance of Adobe CQ5 platform; and (4) developing service endpoints/push services which adhere to HTNG specifications, specifically Agilysys Lodging Management System and Ballys ACSC platforms. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
