Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Manager – Sales Business Intelligence (BI) will be to interpret, analyze and improve sales processes across all levels of business.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Enhance analytical steps within each sales process and building efficiencies to improve scalability within different sales channels.
  • Provide strong analytical support on revenue and expense management within the Sales Department, along with providing strategies and solutions towards ongoing revenue growth through various channels.
  • Develop distinct analytical tools and strategy to enhance sales efficiencies both immediate and long-term.
  • Analyze key business initiatives such as: revenue generated by sales leaders, group sales, leisure sales, geography and verticals – on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis. 
  • Track, analyze and monitor all sales related expenses and ability to identify cost savings opportunities while summarizing costs in ledger and aligning closely with FP&A. 
  • Own monthly P&L and forecasting process – identify variance against goals and budget. 
  • Recognize monthly expenses and track/manage those using Cognos for all sales entities. 
  • Work with large datasets, analyzing trends and seasonality to identify growth opportunities and establish sales cycles.
  • Design various KPIs and strategy and ensure there is efficient tracking and reporting in those metrics.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage budget process and work with sales leaders to incorporate all sales activities. 
  • Perform ROI analysis on various investments to help with goal setting and budget plans. 
  • Assist in analyzing sales pipeline, reports and dashboards – present key findings to senior leadership teams both internal and external.
  • Provide sales leaders an insight into their team’s performance through CRM and Excel.
  • Set sales goals by team and monitor on-going performance against these goals.
  • Build forecasting reports, which factors in trends, seasonality and strategy by sales team. 
  • Enhance forecasting accuracy for quota calculations, incentive plans, occupancy rates, ADRs, Capex, Opex and other KPIs. 
  • Calculate quarterly sales incentives and work with Finance to develop audit process. 
  • Track and maintain performance through KPIs and metrics. 
  • Work on ad-hoc projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or any quantitative disciplines.  Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications or licenses, as required by law or policy. 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working on sales strategy, financial analysis and/or Business Intelligence teams.
  • Effective communicator, keen listener, strong problem solving skills along with curious mindset.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and Analytics teams. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft suits. 
  • Working knowledge with CRM, Spotfire, D&B database, Cognos a plus. 
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Must be able to:

  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
