Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Scheduler - Housekeeping is to ensure that sufficient labor resources are in place daily to service the Hotel. Assigns and updates schedules for the Housekeeping staff.  Daily and weekly schedules for all team members are completed.   All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Pre approves all flex requests for all hourly team members and attaches back up for the Tower Managers and Floor Managers requests for approval.

  • Submit all light duty forms to Housekeeping Senior Management

  • Input/Track Team Member information.

  • Assist in ensuring Team Members receive their approval notice regarding flex requests.

  • All Scheduler must learn all facets of the scheduling position including but not limited to the daily and weekly schedules.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form.

  • Interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Prioritize & organize, follow directions thoroughly, work in a stressful environment.

  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR appearance standards.

  • Maintain consistent adherence to the VCR Unmatched Guest Service Standards.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Minimum 1 year scheduling experience with a hotel/resort in a Housekeeping department preferred.

  • Previous experience with a Four or Five Star hotel/resort preferred.

  • Must have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers in English.

  • Must be a clear thinker, remaining calm & resolving problems using good judgment; ability to schedule team members with efficiency & fairness, and be able to access all areas of the property.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

  • Must be able to withstand prolonged sitting, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction, work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, and use sight to perform job functions.
