Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Treasury Manager is to facilitate the effective management of the company’s treasury operations, and to provide insightful, actionable forward-looking analysis to management involving the financial operations of the Company.   Reporting to the VP of Treasury Operations this person will also be responsible for facilitating the management of the global treasury infrastructure, the implementation, and maintenance of global treasury policies and procedures.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Senior Treasury Analyst, provide oversight and guidance and ensure adherence to policies
  • Facilitate Treasury Operations and Treasury/Financial Analysis for the Company.  Participate as a member of a treasury team that is motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Manage daily cash management operations of Las Vegas Sands, Corp., and its various operating entities.  Implement cash management best practices and procedures to ensure efficiency, enhance internal controls, and minimize fees.
  • Analyze treasury activities and provide recommendations to VP of Treasury Operations associated with safeguarding and investment of the Company’s assets to ensure financial transactions, policies and procedures meet corporate short and long term investment objectives and regulatory body requirements
  • Analyze global debt portfolio to assure adherence of debt and interest payments and covenant compliance
  • Prepare and initiate principal and interest payments for debt associated with all Domestic entities
  • Manage and maintain global cash, debt, investment and financial risk reporting
  • Develop and implement robust global cash flow forecast model to increase efficiency in borrowing/investing decisions, while proactively communicating with global constituents to obtain and review forecasting variance information
  • Coordinate, analyze and executive financial risk management activities
  • Manage cash management banking relationships to ensure adherence to agreements and service quality of banking services for all company properties. Analyze, review and approve bank fee analyses and invoices
  • Serve as system administrator and reporting writing coordinator for KYRIBA global treasury system and various internet banking platforms
  • Drive global treasury procedures and controls including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
  • Act as “Treasury Consultant” to entire organization and supply financial and treasury expertise and excellent “internal” customer support to department heads and senior management throughout the entire organization
  • Special projects as required, working closely with senior management on various financial projects and system upgrades
  • Perform job duties in a safe manner. 
  • Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a similar field.  MBA preferred
  • CTP designation desired
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.  
  • Must possess at least 7-10 years of progressive corporate finance experience with at least (5) years in treasury management or a related field, preferably with a public company
  • Advanced knowledge of global treasury operations, financial risk management principles , financial modeling, and treasury technology
  • Demonstrated global treasury operations expertise in partnering with operating entities (both Domestic & International) and direct experience dealing with external constituents and financial institutions
  • Must have extensive knowledge of financial risk management including but not limited to fx risk, interest rate risk and counterparty risk
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure the reliability of analyses and recommendations
  • Must be able to work in a fast- paced environment. Must have the ability to deal effectively with management, subordinates, internal customers and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Must be able to manage and execute extensive treasury and financial analysis  for senior management
  • Must have superior knowledge of PC  software,  including  Excel,  Word,  PowerPoint  and  Access
  • Must  have  superior knowledge  of on-line  banking systems  and knowledge of both domestic  and international  payment  processes
  • Experience with KYRIBA treasury workstations a plus
  • Must have the ability to create, implement and review short-term cash flow forecasting models
  • Must possess the ability to implement treasury best practices solutions in all areas of the company
  • Must possess the ability to apply sound judgment, decision making and problem solving skills to effectively complete assigned functions
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage treasury staff and work closely with peers on the global treasury team
  • Must possess the ability to read, analyze and evaluate financial reports, financial transactions, correspondence and written material.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to deal effectively with at all levels of the global organization in order to act as a liaison between treasury and its internal customers to provide meaningful and accurate information in order to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Possess pro-active work style that looks beyond current practices to recommend and implement solutions
  • Possess the ability to prioritize and manage small staff as well as multiple work assignments while meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
