Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Manager – Team Member Relations is to assist management and Team Members with issues, concerns, questions, communication and/or policies and procedures. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists the Director – Human Resources in special projects or oversee an area of the Team Member Relations Department
- Conducts Due Process Meetings, Peer Reviews, interviews, investigations and mediation to resolve all matters in a timely fashion
- Supervises the delivery and measurement of guest service to be consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes through the Team Member Survey and feedback sessions
- Meets with the divisional Vice Presidents on a quarterly basis (once they have met with department head) to provide departmental updates, communication roadblocks and to obtain feedback on departmental goals
- Prepares unemployment paperwork, EEOC/NERC timelines, confidential investigative files, reviews counseling’s and performance paperwork, participates in department panel interviews, and assists with other areas of Human Resources and in Team Member events
- Adheres to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy, complies with company policies, and legal requirements
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- High school diploma
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or within Employee Relations
- 3 years of experience in a supervisory/manager position
- Demonstrated experience in Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Worker’s Compensation, Title VII, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, HIPPA, COBRA, Wage and Hour and Unemployment Law
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to:
- Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts
- Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts
- Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
