Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager - Slot Performance is to produce incremental revenues through targeted strategies related to Slot Performance, and Slot Sectioning and floor yielding.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Must make pricing recommendations that consider competitive set as well as property strategy.

· Must make effective slot purchasing recommendations.

· Provides guidance and leadership to The Venetian Resort slot performance team.

· Organizes and coordinates the activities of Slot Performance team.

· Administer department policies; evaluate performance relative to The Venetian Resort’s Standards.

· Monitors compliance with all aspects of The Venetian Resort’s internal controls.

· Maintains complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and procedures.

· Evaluates operating procedures, recommend changes, and implement approved changes.

· Manages assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, the division and The Venetian Resort’s.

· Manages the delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure The Venetian Resort’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.

· Manages Human Resources responsibilities for assigned department(s) to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; adherence to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.

· Safety is an essential function of this job.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:


· 21 years of age.

· Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.

· 5 years of Management experience in a high-volume Slot Department.

· 5 years slot performance experience in a high-volume Slot Department.

· 3 years of Slot Technical and technical management experience.

· Demonstrated ability in counseling and developing subordinates.

· Excellent personal computer skills including word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet (MS Excel).

· Extensive training in all aspects of slot performance with excellent communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

· Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
