Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager – Contract Audit is to audit, the Company’s contracts for compliance with Company policy, including proper set-up of accounting and contract terms within the P2P system and reconciliation of payments against contract terms, acting as a main point of contact between operations and finance management teams. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review complex contract terms for correct accounting and set-up in the P2P system.
  • Identify issues and root causes, recommend improved internal controls and business processes, and ensure that corrective action plans are developed.
  • Monitor and enforce the compliance of the Company’s policies and procedures through audits and analytics.
  • Prepare concise and meaningful reports for management.
  • Develop and distribute monthly and quarterly executive management reports, including policy exceptions/violations, and spend analytics, along with ad-hoc reports and other reports as requested.
  • Educate and provide guidance to Team Members on the P2P process and the company’s related policies and procedures to prevent repetitive findings.
  • Resolve and communicate audit exceptions to management, as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the contract audit team to facilitate the completion of the contract reconciliations and developing their audit skills.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for management, to include policy exceptions, trends in spending patterns, unusual spending activity, and other analytical data along with ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Partner with procurement and compliance to provide recommendations in regards to improving controls and updating policies, based on audit findings.
  • Communicate with all levels within the organization in a concise and professional manner.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of work related work experience in accounting, accounts payable, auditing or finance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Prior experience with Contracts is a must. 
  • Experience with Ariba P2P preferred.
  • Ability to present contract findings in an objective and unbiased manner.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to possess sound judgment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
