Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager Premium Marketing is to manage the strategic planning process of slot and table game special events and promotions for the premium player segment on behalf of the Venetian and the Palazzo. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian and The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Manage the event and promotion calendar for premium players on a rolling 12-month basis by working with the Relationship Marketing team.
    • Utilize database analytics to drive profitability from all players within the premium segment, identifying opportunities to increase conversion of new players, retain active players and recapture inactive players.
    • Manage the development and strategy of all Slot and Table Games events and promotions to ensure that all events maximize responses and profitability.
    • In cooperation with property sponsorship and entertainment initiatives, review potential opportunities, analyze ROI, and make recommendations for involvement to marketing management.
    • Develop integrated guest contact strategy to ensure offers support guest journey roadmap.
    • Communicate event and promotional offerings to Casino Marketing team to ensure they have the tools necessary to drive visitation from players
    • Develop strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts, in support of the premium player segment.
  • Key Processes
    • Work with Casino Marketing and Relationship Marketing to develop promotions and events that will drive visitation and profitability for the premium player segment.
    • Provide relevant information to Relationship Marketing, Casino Marketing and other Operations Departments to ensure seamless communication on all event and promotional offerings.
    • Work with Special Events to ensure event vision is executed to provide optimal experience to guests.
  • Financial
    • Manage the budgeting of Direct Mail costs, email deployments, gifts, and event expenses through pro forma and post analysis process.
    • Ensure revenue targets are met and exceeded for players within the premium player segment.
    • Utilize post-event data provided by Finance and identify trends, opportunities, and challenges for future planning.
  • Leadership
    • Oversees his/her team, ensuring completion of departmental objectives in the following areas: Finance, Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, etc.
    • Delegate tasks and department assignments or projects, meeting deadlines related to those assignments.
    • Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the company using available resources (staff and budgetary).
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 5 years of experience in a casino setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating promotions and events for high-end players preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
