Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager - Partnership Sales is to develop and manage partnership & sales business opportunities/accounts, in accordance with thresholds defined by management, that align with the Company’s financial goals and to maximize revenues.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify, create, and sell revenue opportunities through strategic positioning of property assets, media assets, and property activations in order to achieve the sales goals of the property.
  • Develop and solicit business to ensure the necessary advance sales needed to maximize revenue.
  • Independently develop, plan, and implement sales strategies aligned with the strategic positioning and objectives of the Company.
  • Document all pertinent daily sales activities, cataloging account and client information accurately.
  • Generate prospective clients in local markets through cold calling, networking, reviewing applicable publications and targeted outreach plans.
  • Generate and grow existing revenue with MICE clients. 
  • Train Sales/Convention/Meeting Services Teams on signage opportunities and provide ongoing updates and materials.
  • Manage administrative elements and approvals of sponsorship/event deals including contracting, deal entry, proof of performance, payment collection, contract renewal, revenue forecasting and reporting.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage vendors & various departments’ participation in servicing accounts.
  • Create sales-related project packages or programs to generate business.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of marketing principles and market segments, in order to assist in establishing selling strategies to meet the marketing needs.
  • Manage the development of solid on-going relationships with partners and sponsors to address performance, execution, and future growth potential.
  • Frequently review and understand sales and traffic tend reports, including annual review of valuation of signage opportunities.
  • Manage the promotion and implementation of platform programs in a professional and timely manner and measuring of results.
  • Responsible for managing the local production and use of installs, collateral, and materials.
  • Assist with other brand/sales/casino activations.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent sales work experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 5 years of experience in similar or equivalent sales environment.
  • Demonstrated working experience in partnerships or sales.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office knowledge, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 30 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
