Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager – Enterprise Analytics is to identify and drive revenue-generating opportunities throughout The Venetian Resort using data analytics.  The role will manage a team of analysts who engage in advanced analytical techniques (e.g. predictive modeling) to discover new insights that will support business outcomes. Additionally, the team will develop, design, and manage visualizations & dashboards; automate reports, work with IT to procure new data sources into the Data Warehouse, and develop relationships across multiple departments with the goal of using analytics to realize new revenue streams and increase overall profitability.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Develop theoretical models in an applied environment with focus on labor optimization and scheduling, as well as forecasting demand.
  • Collate and develop best practices on building, testing, and deploying predictive models.
  • Maximize the use and benefit from predictive modeling and business intelligence tools across the property.
  • Partner with, but not limited to Hotel Operations (e.g. Housekeeping, Front Desk, Resort Services, etc.), Revenue Management, Marketing, Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Retail, and IT.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify relevant KPIs necessary for budget and goal development.
  • Analyze large datasets and develop insights into business practices, performances, and variances analyses.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports; showing KPIs for management and standardize the reports into a unified look and feel.
  • Manage and train the analysts to create and administer reports, complete ad hoc requests from management, develop predictive models, and create dashboards.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage responsibilities for the department to include: hiring of new Team Members, promotions, creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, discipline, recognition, and termination. 
  • Act as an expert in visualization tools.  The position will require cross-training of both internal users plus various LVS properties both domestically and internationally
  • Support The Venetian Resort in developing and maintaining automated, self-service reports.
  • Serve as a go-between for IT and the Business in translating business requirements into functional IT requirements.
  • Works together with IT to centralize data sources and maintain data integrity.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field. Master’s degree or Master’s in Business Administration preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 5 years of experience in data analytics or related work experience. Hotel and/or Casino industry knowledge preferred.
  • Experience creating and implementing statistical models required, with preferred experience in labor optimization and scheduling.
  • Experience and working knowledge of one of the following is required (2+ preferred): LMS, Python, R, T-SQL, Centralized Scheduling software, Spotfire/ Tableau or equivalent visualization software.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in working with large volumes of data and building, deploying, and measuring (a) predictive analytics models (i.e. decision trees, clustering, linear, and non-linear regressions), (b) A/B testing, and (c) real-time marketing rules.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with various data systems, large data sets, data mining, and discovery.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying analytical skills to increase revenue.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
