Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager - Enterprise Analytics is to identify and drive revenue-generating opportunities throughout the Venetian Casino Resort using data analytics.  The role will manage an Analyst who develops, designs, and manages visualizations & dashboards; automates reports, works with IT to procure new data sources into the Data Warehouse, and develops relationships across multiple departments with the goal of using analytics to realize new revenue streams or increase overall profitability. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maximizes the use and benefit from predictive modeling and business intelligence tools across the property. 
  • Partners with, but not limited to, Revenue Management, Marketing, Hotel Operations, Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Retail, and IT. 
  • Serves as a go-between for IT and the Business in translating business requirements into functional IT requirements.
  • Analyzes large datasets and develops insights into business practices, performances, and variances analyses.
  • Supports the creation & maintenance of dashboards and reports; showing KPIs for management & standardizes the reports into a unified look and feel.
  • Trains the Analyst in creating dashboards and reports as well as standardizes and automates reoccurring reports.
  • Designs, implements, and manages statistical modeling and modeling tools.
  • Predictive modeling:  Collates and develops best practices on building, testing, and deploying predictive models.
  • Manages an Analyst intended to create and administer reports, complete ad hoc requests from management, develop predictive models, and create dashboards.
  • Management responsibilities to include hiring, providing performance feedback, discipline, recognition, and termination. 
  • Uses reports and dashboards to identify potential revenue generating opportunities and presents those opportunities to senior leadership to persuade them to adopt changes.
  • Works together with IT to centralize data sources and maintain data integrity.
  • Acts as an expert in visualization tools.  The position will require cross-training of both internal users plus various LVS properties both domestically and internationally.
  • Close collaboration with senior leaders to identify relevant KPIs necessary for budget and goal development
  • Business Intelligence – Support VCR in developing and maintaining automated, self-service reports
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 Years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor of Science in a related technical field:  Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 3 years of experience in data analytics.
  • Hotel and/or Casino industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with R, Python, SQL, and Tableau or Spotfire.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with large volumes of data and building, deploying, and measuring (a) predictive analytics models (i.e. Decision trees, clustering, linear, and non-linear regressions), (b) A/B Testing, and (c) real-time marketing rules.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with various data systems, large data sets, data mining, and discovery.
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Excel.
  • Proven track record in applying analytical skills to increase revenue.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally when necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
