Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Tower Manager is to oversee & supervise Floor Managers and team members assigned to his/her station on any given day. Inspects suites and assists Floor Manager in resolving guest issues. Supervises and trains all floor managers. Assists in the inspection & evaluation of Housekeepers and Floor Attendants job performance. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and manages assigned floors/sections in the tower
  • Inspects all specialty suites.
  • Update all facilities issues in HotSOS (using the IVR system).
  • Manages, conducts performance review, and maintains score card for all Floor Managers.
  • Address any team member issue that is brought to their attention.
  • Conducts 6 written inspections daily.
  • Issues discipline to the team members (up to SPI).
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  •  High School Diploma including weekends and holidays.
  • 3 years of experience in supervisory housekeeping preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with a Four Start Hotel/Resort preferred.
  • Working knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment; knowledge of proper chemical handling; ability to stand & walk for extended periods of time; endure various physical movements throughout work areas; maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude; ability to perceive sizes, shapes, temperatures, textures, smell specific odors or aromas, perceive depth & distance.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
  • Deal effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to frequently move freely about the office, maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machine, etc. Must be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas of the property.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
