Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the IT Contract & Asset Manager is to oversee contracting, purchasing and managing LVSC enterprise software, licenses and technology services. Ensure all jurisdictions comply with global policies, standards and procedures to meet regulatory, operational, audit and reporting requirements related to Software Asset Management. This role works collaboratively with IT leadership and Technology Procurement to enhance the maturity of the Software Asset Management processes within the enterprise.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor and control Corporate IT and Global Cyber Security contracts, service subscriptions, maintenance renewals, and outstanding vendor accounts as assigned.
  • Work with the IT Assets and Contracts team to define controls, processes and procedures for software asset management to ensure software and services are effectively and efficiently managed throughout the enterprise.
  • Collect, analyze and report on software license consumption information for forecasting, budgeting, compliance and cost optimization.
  • Facilitate periodic software license cycle count procedures to ensure enterprise license compliance.
  • Support full vendor lifecycle, including contracting, onboarding, license monitoring, invoice processing, renewal requirements and vendor business analysis.
  • Initiate purchase requests and/or purchase orders, monitor approvals, and escalate as needed for timely submission to vendors.
  • Collaborate with functional systems/application owners to proactively understand current software licensing needs and renewal requirements.
  • Create and manage contract requests and escalations in Ariba contract management system.
  • Process vendor and/or service termination letters accordingly to facilitate effective termination of vendor arrangements.
  • Manage software training requests for enterprise managed systems and tools.
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with various departments to evaluate, assess and optimize enterprise software license requirements and deployments.
  • Analyze software usage to determine potential efficiencies and cost saving opportunities.
  • Track and communicate property allocation adjustments to IT finance for global enterprise agreements, based on software consumption and reconciliations.
  • Establish governance of enterprise licenses and monitor access provisioning.
  • Fulfill licensing requests for global IT software portals and/or approve licensing requests.
  • Manage the Software Asset Management staff including recruitment, retention, performance reviews, resource assignments, and mentoring of staff.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management or a technical subject is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Information Technology specifically in contract and software asset management and/or procurement.
  • IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience.
  • Experience managing a complex license portfolio across a diverse deployment landscape.
  • Expertise in Microsoft licensing models and requirements.
  • Experience working in a global organization with resources in various locations.
  • Automated asset management systems experience.
  • IAITAM Software Asset Management certification preferred.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on delivering high quality work.
  • Strong organization, planning, and execution skills.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple streams giving attention to each data element.
  • Must possess a U.S. passport and be able to travel both domestically and overseas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
