Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Executive Director - Process Innovation Engineering is to lead process innovation engineering for Las Vegas Sands Corp. including driving process improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and efficiency, evaluate emerging innovations, develop innovations and work with external parties, patent innovations, oversee innovation pilots, implement approved innovations and address all engineering challenges.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead process innovation engineering including managing a group of process innovation engineers with various skillsets such as industrial, mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Together with the VP - Global Process Innovation, identify emerging innovation trends and determine its applicability for the integrated resort business
  • Understand business unit processes including improvement opportunities and identify appropriate innovation solutions
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with properties and business units including understanding their requirements
  • Filter process innovations and perform engineering studies
  • Develop innovations with external parties
  • Patent innovations
  • Manage pilots to evaluate process innovations and solve engineering issues
  • Assist in the creation of global process innovation roadmaps
  • Assist Process Innovation Project Management to implement innovations and manage all engineering challenges
  • Establish a repository of process innovation knowledge and lessons learned
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States
  • Bachelors’ Degree required ideally in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years innovation or engineering leadership experience is required
  • Must have experience with process improvements
  • Ideally has worked previously in technology or engineering organizations in leadership positions
  • Strong project management and organizational excellence skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work across multiple cultures and global teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
