Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Director – Relationship Marketing is to set and execute the strategic direction for casino events and promotions at the Venetian | Palazzo. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop event and promotional strategies for casino marketing division.
  • Responsible for customer communication data driven contact strategies and implementation across marketing channels, including direct mail, e-mail, loyalty kiosk and website, and on property communication.
  • Develop and maintain casino marketing calendar.
  • Review player/program analysis and utilizes results to make improvements to marketing programs.
  • Ensure marketing collateral and event execution are in line with desired vision to deliver to players and guests.
  • Identify opportunities to drive excitement and visitation to the casino via floor-wide events and promotions for both visitors and hotel guests.
  • Create marketing plans to successfully launch new game product.
  • Develop segmentation strategies for customer database and ensures proper segmentation of guest offers.
  • Create rigorous testing program to ensure continuous improvement for all offers and offer components.
  • Develop and manage processes for offer deployment to ensure proper handoff between marketing departments, other internal departments and external vendors when appropriate.
  • Manage direct mail and email communication process and ensures offers are consistent with desired guest experience.
  • Ensure proper collaboration with other Relationship Marketing teams, Host Team, Property Marketing and Operations teams.
  • Work with analytics teams to identify Key Performance Indicators to ensure that revenue goals are achieved throughout the marketing organization.
  • Work with hotel teams to ensure availability of offers and identifies potential opportunities to drive incremental visitation.
  • Provide input into strategic plans, that assist in achieving both property and company financial objectives.
  • Delegate tasks and department assignments or projects, meeting deadlines related to those assignments.
  • Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the company using available resources (staff and budgetary).
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, or related discipline.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, an Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 7 years of experience in Marketing with significant experience in customer relationship management.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint programs.
  • Prior casino experience and luxury property experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
