Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Enterprise Architect is integrating business needs with technology solutions to achieve Las Vegas Sands business objectives.  The Sr. Enterprise Architect is responsible for the development of enterprise architecture strategy, solution designs, standards, patterns, position papers and engagement reporting.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Intake business requests and develop appropriate solutions leveraging reusable components where possible to ensure investment sustainability
  • Perform regular reviews of proposed solution designs, vetting them against design patterns, defined technology standards, compliance requirements and best practices to ensure a reliable, secure solution is implemented
  • Evaluate commercial products for functionality and the investment and resource requirements to utilize them in a solution
  • Participate in developing strategies and technology roadmaps to standardize and automate delivery of IT services and initiatives
  • Maintains direction and focus through proactive planning and organized approaches to work
  • Establishes goals, monitors progress toward them, and ultimately achieves these goals
  • Work with Compliance staff to identify areas of risk and mitigation plans regarding the master plan and roadmap
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, budgeting and allocation, implementation, information security program development, and administration, including technical architecture design and technology assessment

Minimum Qualifications
  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States 
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in technology preferred
  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • Deep understanding of hospitality and gaming business processes and compliance constraints
  • Exceptional analytical, statistical, quantitative, and deduction skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in a multicultural, multinational environment with both technical and non-technical business stakeholders, as well as executive level management.
  • Ability to represent information in graphical forms including using modeling languages, developing process flows, creating data and topology diagrams, etc.
  • Understanding of business processes and fundamental corporate finance, management, and accounting principles
  • Knowledge of secure coding best practices and security framework standards: NIST, COBIT, ISO. 
  • Experience architecting solutions compliant with regulations such as: PCI, GLBA, SOX, Basel III
  • Experience implementing controls for privacy legislation such as: HIPAA, COPPA, FCRA, GLB and GDPR
  • Expertise with enterprise technologies including, but not limited to: Application development platforms; service-oriented architectures, streams, orchestrators, web services, and APIs 
  • Proficiency working in agile software development environments, continuous integration and deployment (CICD), and DevOps
  • Knowledge of software vulnerabilities testing and remediation (OWASP/SANS CWE)
  • Expertise with integration architecture design and deployment (Enterprise Service Bus)
  • Knowledge of UML modeling techniques and business process modeling
  • Familiar with cloud platform services and their orchestration including, but not limited to, Alibaba, Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.  
  • Familiar with container platforms and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, etc.
  • Experience implementing identity strategies and application integrations including LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
