Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Director – Domestic Marketing, Eastern Region is to develop growth from current and new players from the Eastern Region of the United States on the behalf of the Venetian and The Palazzo. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a business plan that details growth for the Eastern Region of the United States through customer acquisition and reactivation.
  • Responsible for own book of Premium Mass guests/business.
  • Develop and manage in market events to further relationships with existing guests to harvest new business. 
  • Develop strategic initiatives and partner programs to source partner opportunities with regional casinos and other companies that work with high net-worth individuals.
  • Arrange timelines to complete tasks and interface with other stakeholders and/or departments to complete and meet the deadlines related to those assignments.
  • Develop as well as regularly evaluate and improve reporting to render an opinion or take action based on that information that will affect the department or function.
  • Utilize reporting methodologies and all strategic initiatives to manage the sales team to greater profitability. Must be able to drive the team to greater top-line growth and maintain bottom-line profitability.
  • Regularly collaborate with the Premium Casino team to create and develop events that coincide to drive visitation and profitability for the Premium Mass and Premium segments.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of initiatives for the Eastern Region for the Premium Mass segment.
  • Identify and develop key strategies that may support all regional marketing sales teams.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement from current internal communication and reinvestment.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or Communication preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 5 years of experience in the gaming industry, to include but not limited to, experience in the issuance of comps, including Food and Beverage, Rooms, Shows, Transportation, and Airfare preferred, managing a sales team preferred, management role preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Experience with Casino/Hotel systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
