Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Analyst - Business Process is to examine, identify and design key processes to drive operational efficiency initiatives within the VCR Information Technology Department.  The Analyst - Business Process leverages industry standard best process improvement frameworks (ITIL and Six Sigma) to document and optimize operational procedures. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partners with major technology service owners to drive process delivery and process re-engineering by creating process excellence through the use of industry best practices, policies, procedures and methodologies.
  • Identifies and prioritizes process improvement opportunities and projects within the VCR Information Technology department.
  • Defines, manages, and unites stake holder expectations in the successful delivery and completion of all projects.
  • Conducts value stream mapping through definition of as-is and future state process models.
  • Provides complete Gap analysis for all process presentations.
  • Defines key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurements to ensure the process under review delivers on the stakeholder expectations.
  • Participates in all information technology and business process transformations.
  • Leverages and applies process improvement best practices and techniques/methodologies in a structured project environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to both technical peers and sr executives.
  • Leads process analysis and reengineering efforts, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the information technology environment
  • Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts within the Information Technology department
  • Six Sigma and or ITIL experience with resource and delivery accountability in large-scale business transformation projects.
  • Proven mentoring and coaching skills with ability to train others.
  • Ability to grasp the big picture and create a detailed plan.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience working on increasingly complex business process re-engineering / information technology transformations.
  • Demonstrated experience in Information Technology best practices around operations, management and governance.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Visio, or similar process design software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust and cigarette smoke.
