Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Attendant – Team Member Dining is to maintain the cleanliness of all equipment and food operations in the Team Member Dining Room. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Works and self manages the following stations of the Team Member Dining Room: salad bar operation, beverage and ice cream dispenser system, pastry operations, dining room maintenance – stocking and cleaning
  • Consistently complete cleaning of the salad bar, stock all beverage stations, disinfect and sanitize the dining room, prepare produce and oversee refrigerator storage, service Team Members within the Team Member Dining Room consistent with the manager’s direction and operational needs.
  • Work closely with culinary chefs to maintain food productivity according to SNHD standards
  • Stock and maintain the food and beverage stations in accordance to the SNHD standards.
  • Maintain dining room appearance and up hold sanitization and health code standards
  • Stock and maintain the equipment and supplies for Team Member’s (china, glass and silver)
  • Greet all team members with warm smile, maintain eye contact, and communicate in a professional and pleasant demeanor
  • Treat all team members with respect and professional courtesy
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

All Venetian | Palazzo Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States, and a Health Card
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with an Associate degree in F&B and/or course completion from an accredited Culinary Institute
  • 1-2 years cooking experience in pantry-cold prep kitchen, preferably in similar resort/hotel setting
  • Able to read, translate, and execute policies/procedures of the department and hotel.
  • Excellent knowledge of basic kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English both in oral and written form
  • Maintains a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to The Venetian /Palazzo appearance standards
  • Works in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
  • Maintains the physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Be accountable, handle constructive criticism, and continue to grow professionally in the culinary field.
  • Knowledgeable in proper food safety and handling practice
  • Knowledgeable in proper sanitation practice.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to: 

  • Lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned.
  • Work in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ever-changing environment.
  • Able to maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction, work indoors, and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, and smoke.
  • Comply with occupational, health, and safety standards (OSHA)
