Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Attendant – Disinfecting is to keep the assigned areas clean and disinfected to ensure the safety of guests, team members and vendors. Assigned areas include but are not limited to resort and team member entrances, restrooms, elevator banks, escalators, guest counters for various departments, casino floor, conference rooms, showrooms and other venues as needed.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use approved EPA certified chemical and proper cleaning materials to wipe down and disinfect all high touch points in assigned areas. This includes but is not limited to elevator buttons, door handles, counters, touch displays, slot machines, escalators, chairs, and gaming tables.
  • Touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods. Disinfecting will be continuous in order to maintain clean and sanitized surfaces for guests and Team Members.  
  • Protective Personal Equipment (“PPE”) must be worn according to departmental standards.
  • Offer a high level of guest service to guests and fellow Team Members.
  • Be able to respond to guest requests for directions and answer questions about The Venetian Resort.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in Housekeeping, public area cleaning preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Use and handle chemical cleaners in accordance with safety standards.
  • Work indoors/outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, excessive heat, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
