Position Overview

The IT Analyst primary responsibility is to provide support and analysis to the Corporate & Property Information Technology departments.  The main area of focus is performing analysis and evaluating performance of key IT operating metrics and expenses such as headcount/labor/salary, maintenance contracts, project delivery evaluations, and assets (see examples in Position Responsibilities below). All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and the Las Vegas Sands policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform run vs. change analysis to align and optimize headcount across properties
  • Develop repeatable model to refresh headcount and compensation quarterly
  • Perform in depth review of current maintenance contracts to identify areas for savings
  • Review inflight projects to ensure contract start dates are consistent with go live
  • Align current maintenance contracts to actual installed hardware and software products
  • Review completed projects to ensure objectives and key financial metrics were met
  • Hold lessons learned discussions with project managers and business sponsors to enhance processes
  • Review internal labor reports to optimize capitalization of payroll expense
  • Analyze consumption of IT hardware and software assets by property and department
  • Perform PC vs. VDI cost analysis to optimize team member computing costs
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Business discipline, or equivalent business experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • Advanced education in Finance, Accounting, or related Business discipline, or equivalent business experience
  • 1-2 years of Finance and/or Accounting experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of Analytics experience preferred
  • Gaming and Hospitality experience in a large global environment preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel & other Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience performing finance and accounting related activities
  • Experience creating data models within Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Experience working with financial data from key gaming and hospitality applications such as Stratton Warren, Infinium, Cognos, and Ariba preferred
  • Experience with SQL including query writing, stored procedures and views
  • Experience with SQL database administration preferred
  • Experience supporting a SQL data warehouse preferred
  • Experience using ServiceNow preferred
  • Experience working with IT and Project Managers preferred

Must be able to:
