Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Maximo Administrator is to maintain and configure the software to support the business practices of the Facilities maintenance operation of The Venetian and The Palazzo.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian  Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Maximo EAM System Administrator is responsible for the complete development and utilization of the Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System.  This individual is required to have specific training and skills that deliver the performance of high-level administrative functions.



  1. Design and implement Maximo into the Facilities operation and other related operations
  2. Customize Maximo to conform with the business practices at The Venetian and The Palazzo
  3. Manage all user access and assign privileges for specific Maximo applications
  4. Design and configure the internal database for each application
  5. Custom design user screens for the Maximo system
  6. Design and compile custom reports based on required information requested by the Facilities Department
  7. Design, test, and implement custom applications when necessary
  8. Support Maximo system upgrade projects
  9. Identify and communicate Maximo system defects to the vendor and/or IT


  • In addition, the Maximo Administrator must have training related to SQL, Cognos and Crystal reporting.
  • General supervision and work direction is received from the Director of Process Improvement within the Facilities Operations. 
  • Responsibilities included but not limited to the maintenance and operation of the Maximo EAM system and related applications and devices.


  1. Manage Maximo system administration and configuration; workflow development and administration
  2. Serve as the primary contact for Maximo system users and support
  3. Assist in adding, modifying, and granting access to the Maximo system
  4. Maintain Maximo system reports, run queries and create ad reports
  5. Serve as a liaison between vendor and Maximo system users to resolve issues
  6. Make basic modifications to Maximo system screens using the screen editor
  7. Work with IT to apply, test and verify fixes/patches
  8. Monitor Maximo system performance; troubleshoot and resolve technical problems



  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Four years general PC, server, network is required.
  • Must demonstrate analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems with little or no assistance.
  • Experience with Microsoft 200x Server, 200x Exchange, 200x SQL, and Office products is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 10 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
