Position Overview:

The Primary Responsibility of the Administrative Assistant – Housekeeping is to perform administrative and secretarial duties for the housekeeping, Priority Services and Wardrobe departments. Screens and answers calls, types memos and letters, maintains files, takes minutes, and performs other administrative duties for the housekeeping management team. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Team Member meetings with the Executive Director of Housekeeping.
  • Participate in supply ordering for all floors in the Venetian / Venezia / Palazzo.
  • Monitor the Floor Managers scorecards.
  • Print for review all guest comments and monthly assessment scores.
  • Monitor Floor Managers suite inspections, score cards, and attendance.
  •  Monitor and update Team Member licensing.
  • Participate in the creating of departmental Bulletin Boards to include updating of the daily serenades.
  • Perform administrative and secretarial duties for Housekeeping and Wardrobe Departments
  • Screens & answers calls, types memos & letters, maintain files, takes minutes & performs other administrative duties for the Housekeeping management team.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • 2 years’ experience as an Administration Assistant in the hospitality industry or related field.
  • Must have excellent communication & phone skills, PC and word processing skills required; type 50 words per minute.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  •  Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
