Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Specialist Level III – Resort Services Specialist (Pay for Performance) is to process all Hotel, Casino, Restaurant and Box Office Show reservations in an incentive based capacity with base pay. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Possesses full knowledge of hotel products and benefits to provide a service or assistance to meet the needs of a guest, client or customer.
  • Receives inbound calls from potential guests of The Venetian | The Palazzo that are requesting Casino Events, Casino Promotions, Suite Reservations, Restaurant and Box Office Show reservations.
  • Provides a service for others, and provides expertise based on information keyed, gathered, studied, processed or reviewed.
  • Complies with policies and procedures of the department or section in order to complete service satisfactorily. 
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 1 year of Hotel experience preferred.
  • Experience as a PBX/Telecom operator in a high call volume call center or Telecom setting preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in LMS, ACSC, Passkey, Open Table, and Archtics preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Xtend, SDD Jazz, HotSOS, and Northern Telecom Meridian Console preferred.
  • Possesses skills to expedite clerical processing, perform a service, evaluate information, and take action based upon information to complete a task or assignment or activity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.

  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
  • Auditory (hearing) abilities – needed to communicate on a telephone in an environment that at times becomes loud and very active.
